Denodo did it again: For the sixth year in a row, Denodo was recognized as a Leader in the Gartner® Magic Quadrant™ for Data Integration Tools report, including the most recent one released on 12/8 of last year.
“Data integration tools remain a fundamental architectural component as organizations increasingly seek improved capabilities to support their operational, analytical and AI use cases,” says Gartner in the Magic Quadrant report. “This research helps data and analytics leaders make their decisions by analyzing 20 vendors in this market.”
Why we feel Denodo Remained a Leader in this Magic Quadrant?
I believe this is primarily due to the Denodo Platform’s logical capabilities, as they truly set Denodo apart. These enable data integration without requiring replication, for much more simplified, accelerated data access, especially across highly distributed, heterogeneous environments.
However, because of this differentiated data architecture, Denodo provides two important benefits above and beyond those that relate specifically to data integration:
- A universal semantic layer
- Built-in, operational data governance
Denodo’s semantic layer is built on rich metadata that aligns with business terms, drawn from disparate data sources in addition to local ones. It also enables organizations to create semantic hierarchies, or categories, so that data can be more easily discovered, accessed, and used. Recently, Denodo joined Snowflake’s Open Semantic Interchange (OSI) to advance open semantic standards across modern data platforms.
Denodo “operationalizes” data governance because of the same immediate access to disparate data sources mentioned above, as well as active metadata tracking across all data operations: data access, downloads, and all other associated user activity.
Built for Agentic AI
These capabilities are critical for supporting agentic AI, which requires access to live, governed data supported by business context. This context clarifies how the data should be used, how it should be “understood” in the context of the particular organization, and other supporting information. Denodo has been strengthening its support for AI through AI-powered Deep Research features (DeepQuery) and Denodo Assistant, which automates and simplifies many data tasks through a natural-language interface.
The Magic Quadrant for Data Integration Tools report begins with the strategic assumption that “By 2027, AI assistants and AI-enhanced workflows within data integration tools will reduce manual effort by 60% and enable self-service data management.”
Denodo Customers Speak Out
We believe Gartner’ Magic Quadrant and Critical Capabilities reports provide a deep understanding about how the Denodo Platform is used by customers. As a key part of the research supporting these reports, Gartner interviews customers of each vendor under evaluation, but Gartner also provides several mechanisms that let customers speak out using their own voices. On the Gartner Peer Insights platform, the Denodo Platform currently has a 4.6 average rating out of a possible 5, from a total of 283 reviews (as of 11 March, 2026), and Denodo customers have independently voted Denodo a Gartner Peer Insights Customers’ Choice.
Denodo will continue to stretch the boundaries for what is possible with data integration and AI. We recently unveiled a new version of the Denodo Platform, one with extended support for agentic AI.
